Cutaneous Lesions

Before After 1 treatment
Before After 4th. treatment

Cutaneous lesions are skin growths that come in many shapes and sizes, and historically have been removed with aggressive modalities such as excision or cryotherapy. But with the advent of LightPod laser technology, they can now be removed with precision, avoiding the pain and scarring risk of adjacent tissue damage.

With Aerolase, cutaneous lesions can be removed using two distinct laser treatment approaches. The LightPod Era 2940nm erbium laser can be used to ablate or vaporize lesions, including flat or raised growths; this is a much more precise operation than traditional methods such as excision or cryotherapy, which cause adjacent tissue damage and potential scarring. Clinical Studies showed that LightPod Era is safe and effective in removing numerous types of benign, pre-malignant and malignant cutaneous lesions including Seborrheic Keratosis, Actinic Keratosis, Lentigines, Epidermal Nevus, Benign Nevi, Xanthelasma, Syringomas, Sebaceous Hyperplasia, Warts, Melasma, Milia, Acrochordons, Dermatosis Papilosa Nigra, Hypertrophic Scars, Rhinophyma, Superficial Basal Cell Carcinoma, and Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Situ (Bowen’s Disease). With LightPod Era, cutaneous lesions are removed in one quick, minimally invasive treatment with low discomfort. Alternatively, the LightPod Neo Nd:YAG 1064nm laser can be used to target feeder vessels for skin tags, warts, psoriasis plaque and other lesions, destroying the blood supply and eventually leading to the disappearance of the lesion as the raised skin tissue simply dies off and falls away. LightPod Neo laser energy is also absorbed in melanin, eradicating different types of pigmented lesions such as age spots, sun damage and other lesions.
